Ringo, a popular voice calling application is going to introduce new tariff charges for their voice calls in India. The Company said that ringo users will be able to make STD and Local calls across the country at Rs. 19 paise/minute.The app was arrived in India last year over a dozen regions with an objective to offer high-end voice calling services to their customers. The new tariff plan of this app is low as compared to other popular operators such as Vodafone, Airtel, and Idea (charges around Rs. 1.20/minute). The company claims that users can minimize their voice calling cost by upto 80% by using Ringo services.
The Working Procedure of Ringo
Unlike other OTT voice apps, Ringo app doesn’t require any internet connection, Wi-fi, data or carrier minutes. The app just works like making a call via your local carrier.
But you first need to download the Ringo app and tap on the person from your contact list from whom you want to talk. Remember for that you need the internet connection. This means you need to keep your data on while you are making a call to the other person (but it won’t charge any data).
According to the Bhavin Turakhia, CEO and Founder of Ringo, the app is introduced with an aim to provide simple and cost-effective voice calling experience to the people across the nation. Their local calling service is not only the cheapest in India but, also free of popular telecom-related hassles such as STD charges.Ringo sounds like a promising voice calling app, though it is not completely Internet Free app, but still people can save 80% of their calling cost.
